It's All About The Kids

reclaimkidsJenny went to volunteer in Kampala Apostolic Secondary School. and United Apostolic Primary School, schools aided by ReclaimKids. With your support, 75-80 orphan students are now receiving scholarships in these schools. We hope soon to have sufficient funding to send this same kind of support to other places, such as Liberia, in West Africa.

YOUR GIVING MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN AFRICA

The enrollment in the schools in Kampala is close to 500 students. The children come from a wide cross section of the city. While these schools are conducted by a Christian organization, many of the students come from Hindu and Muslim homes. The appeal to this wide variety of students is the height academic standard and clean moral environment on campus. Their vision to help educate as many orphans as possible makes it a perfect fit for the work of ReclaimKids.

Jenny is working with the kids, and spends more time in the office. There are files to update, books to catalogue for the library, case histories to write. Add to this the occasional hug, kind word and gentle nudge of encouragement, and you have a formula for changing a life. At ReclaimKids we want to make as many opportunities for this kind of volunteering as we can. To date we have been challenged by conditions in Africa. However, we are working and watching for the opportunities to come.
